OPEN COFFEE CLUB BBQ
Press Release
Coolbawn, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary
Tuesday, May 13 2008
Open Coffee Club BBQ - Evert Bopp, CEO of AirAppz Ltd. has organised a business and social networking event for people interested in or who do business around the Internet. The event takes place in Terryglass, on the shores of Lough Derg in Tipperary on July 16.
The event, the first of its kind, is a spin-off from the Open Coffee Club meetings taking place in Limerick’s Absolute Hotel every first Thursday of the month.
Open Coffee Club meetings are informal “gatherings” of entrepreneurs, start-ups, investors and anybody with an interest in business and technology to tell their story, discuss topics, exchange points of view, do deals and generally have a good, relaxing time. They are invaluable networking events for people to meet in. There are 6 active OCCs in Ireland, 70 worldwide and they have become known as venues where opportunities present themselves. We are expecting people to attend from several County Enterprise Boards, Enterprise Ireland, Shannon Development, Universities, Institutes of Technology, the Business Angel Partnership, it@cork, several BICs and regional Incubation Centres.
The event in Terryglass will have a social as well as business aspect achieved by adding a barbecue and a beautiful location to the mix. It will take place in The Derg Inn and the community hall in Terryglass. More details on Terryglass can be found on http://www.terryglass.com. Childcare facilities are also being provided.
There will be facilities for people who would like to demo their product or service or who would like to give a short talk about a specific subject. There is also sufficient room for spontaneous break-out sessions to develop. People who would like to learn more about the internet & technology industry in Ireland or meet some of the successful entrepreneurs are particularly welcome.
The event has already received a warm welcome from many of the Open Coffee attendees from around the country and is being anticipated with great enthusiasm.
The event is open to everybody, no matter what their level of internet awareness is and will start at 11 am on July 16 with the barbecue starting around 5 pm. We urge those who plan to attend to register through our website. As the event is organized by volunteers and free of charge we are actively looking for sponsors. There are several sponsor packages available and interested parties are invited to contact us.
Full details are available from the website: http://www.opencoffeeclub-bbq.com or by calling Evert Bopp on 087 632 4042.
